Dancing Cockerels

The first motif of this sampler blanket is the Dancing Cockerel, often associated with the break of dawn and new beginnings. Charming and slightly whimsical, this motif draws inspiration from traditional folk embroidery. The bird seems to be mid-dance, full of lively movement and character, while the surrounding floral details add a sense of balance and harmony, typical of classic sampler designs. Knitted using the stranded colourwork technique and three shades of Felted Tweed.
