Georgia Farrell

is well known for her love of architecture and the influence that it has on her design.

In her recent collection ‘My London’, we saw Georgia’s favourite London buildings translated into wonderfully textural knits. In ‘A Built World’, Georgia’s first Knit Along, we venture further afield as Georgia takes us on a virtual trip around the globe.

We can't wait to get on board!

A Built World features seven beautiful textured squares

A Built World features seven beautiful textured squares in a choice of palettes using Rowan’s Pure Wool Superwash Worsted. Georgia will be suggesting various designs using the squares, including large and medium blankets and runners and three different cushions. The seven projects vary in size and so you’ll be sure to find a project to suit you.

"There will be three colourways for you to choose from; one is cool and fresh, one is bright and zingy and one is more soothing and neutral. Hopefully there will be a colourway for every home and if not, there is a great palette of colours to build your own colourway from!” Georgia Farrell

The shopping list will launch on 8th April and then this will be followed by nine, weekly pattern releases. Each release will be accompanied by a video tutorial where we will be sharing tips and tricks, plus insights into Georgia’s design process and a look at her travels that inspired the project.

“I love Pure Wool Worsted firstly for its stitch definition; it takes textured patterns so well, and it’s also a great hardwearing, practical yarn for homewares.” Georgia Farrell

Look out too for our friendly and welcoming Knit Along Facebook group – this is the ideal opportunity to learn new skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

“I hope that this KAL will be a great opportunity to build community and connect with people, and I hope that it will bring a little bit of an escape and give a sense of the feeling of exploring and travelling, in a time that a lot of us are missing that.” Georgia Farrell

This Knit Along will have its fair share of mystery as the locations of each release are secret! Georgia will be providing clues each week so that we can guess where we are travelling to next!

Join us as we travel the world exploring the beauty of architectural, city landscapes.
