Churchmouse Yarns & Teas

In September of 2000, we opened as a small yarn shop. Founder Kit Hutchin, proud owner of Rowan #1 magazine, made sure that Rowan yarns had a prominent place on her shelves. Over the years since, we have used those yarns to tantalize hundreds of people who discovered or revisited the joys of needlework. In 2009, we started publishing the first of nearly 150 patterns that were easy to make, fun to wear and a joy to give. More than half of those patterns are shown in Rowan yarns. In 2010, we opened our website. In the summer of 2020, during the pandemic, we regrettably but unavoidably had to

close our brick-and-mortar store for good. Now with a new online-only focus, we will continue our mission to help people

worldwide spend their time with wool wisely. And, if we may suggest, a biscuit with some

tea wouldn’t go amiss.
