Xandy Peters (he/they) is best known as the innovator of the stacked-stitch technique, especially the Fox Paws pattern. After graduating from Pratt Institute with a degree in Industrial Design, Xandy worked as a footwear and product designer. Xandy then turned to knitting to explore textiles and surfaces without the limitations of factory production. As a knitwear designer they continue to expand our ideas of hand-knit fabric, sharing the results in patterns and teaching classes. Xandy has been published in many magazines including Vogue Knitting, Twist Collective, Knitscene, Knitty, and Pom Pom Quarterly.
